Now we'll learn the irregular verbs in the conditional or "would" tense. The best part about these irregulars is that they're the same exact irregulars as the "Future" or "Will" tense. The irregular "would" verbs use the same endings as the normal "would" verbs.

Let's review those endings now:

Let's review those irregular verbs again. Remember, our goal is to provide enough practice so that these verbs and endings sound "natural" or "normal" to you.

		"valer" is a new verb that means "to be worth"
saber	sabr	salir	saldr

Now, so these verbs will start sounding natural to you, let's practice the conjugations one at a time with each verb. Are you ready? First, we'll use the "yo" conjugation. Do you remember what it ends with? …….if you said "é", you are correct.

I would say	diría	I would put	pondría	I would do/make	haría
I would be able to	podría	I would have	tendría	I would come	vendría
I would want to	querría	I would be worth	valdría	I would have	habría
I would know	sabría	I would leave	saldría

Now, I need to clarify something for a minute. When you say "I would want", you say "Querría", using the "would" or "conditional tense". Now, to say "I used to want" using the "Back" or "Imperfect" tense, you would say "quería" with only one "r" like "querría" and "quería". The way to tell the difference is the one with two "r"s means is a "would" verb, it's pronounced "querría" with a trilled "r", and it means "I would want" – remember, we added the "r" onto this ending. The one with one "r" is pronounced "quería", it's a "Back" verb and means, "I used to want".

Now let's move on to the "tú" conjugation. Do you remember what it ends with without looking at the chart?

You would say	dirías	You would put	pondrías	You would do/make	harías
You would be able to	podrías	You would have	tendrías	You would come	vendrías
You would want to	querrías	You would be worth	valdrías	You would have (as in you would have eaten and so forth)	habrías
You would know	sabrías	You would leave	saldrías

Now onto the "Él, Ella, Ud." Conjugation.

He/She/You (formal) would say	diría	He/She/You would put	pondría	He/She/You would do/make	haría
He/She/You would be able to	podría	He/She/You would have	tendría	He/She/You would come	vendría
He/She/You would want to	querría	He/She/You would be worth	valdría	He/She/You would have (eaten etc.)	habría
He/She/You would know	sabría	He/She/You would leave	saldría

Now onto the "Nosotros" Conjugation. Remember the "nosotros" ending for the "would" or conditional tense is "íamos".

We would say	diríamos	We would put	pondríamos	We would do/make	haríamos
We would be able to	podríamos	We would have	tendríamos	We would come	vendríamos
We would want to	querríamos	We would be worth	valdríamos	We would have (eaten etc.)	habríamos
We would know	sabríamos	We would leave	saldríamos

Next is the "Vosotros" Conjugation used only in Spain and is the plural form of "tú". Remember the "vosotros" ending for the "would" tense is "íais".

You would say	diríais	You would put	pondríais	You would do/make	haríais
You would be able to	podríais	You would have	tendríais	You would come	vendríais
You would want to	querríais	You would be worth	valdríais	You would have (eaten etc.)	habríais
You would know	sabríais	You would leave	saldríais

Now onto the "Ellos, Ellas, Uds." Conjugation. Do you remember what it ends with without looking at the chart?
